flowerboy - Editorial
Flowerboy starts on a Sunday morning, right at sunrise. Dawn creeps in like a whisper, slowly melting the night into colors that don’t even exist yet. I wake up early—this is my time. Sometimes, I get carried away and start the day before it even begins. There’s something magical about being awake when the world is asleep, something almost sacred about existing in that in-between space. In those quiet hours, books turn into portals, and the darkness teaches me things the daylight never could.
One of those nights, while burning flowers, Flowerboy found me. The flowers, the bodies, the textures... each piece of it felt like it was asking a question, telling a story.
Watching these people open up in front of the camera, in front of the flowers, was something else. A pure moment—where art stops being just art, becomes part of who you are and how you express, they created those portraits with me.
I shoted on Portra 400, a film I’d barely used before, but now it feels like an old friend. I wanted colors that hit deep but didn’t shout. Something soft but intense at the same time. The grain taught me about reality, about the space between one click and the next. Also texture.

Peter, man, thank you for giving me this space and letting my art breathe. You are one of those rare people who really build things, who create worlds. I saw you as a beacon that day and I hope I was able to capture that energy in these portraits of yours.
None of this would have happened without Nathalia Lovati, who brought both wild ideas and tenderness into the mix. Between skin and thoughts, she stitched together the thread that held it all—turning concepts into something you could touch, turning chaos into something real.
And of course, everything had Caetano woven into it. He always finds a way to be there, like some floating spirit that brushes past us when we least expect it. This time, he showed up as our Flowerboy.
